Yoga

Yoga is a mind, body and spirit practice.  It aims to help develop body awareness through simple asanas (postures) that help to stretch the body and release areas of tension.  Regular practise can help to alleviate many physical symptoms and ailments.  It can help to regulate blood pressure, calm the nervous system, stimulate lymphatic drainage and regulate bodily functions as well as many other potential benefits.

There is also awareness to the breath, the life force, which helps us to become calm and centred. Slowing the breath helps to slow down the mind and cut through the constant chatter that it produces.  With a calmer mind you can achieve a more balanced outlook on life and be more in command of your emotions, rather than letting your emotions rule you!

Sessions usually end with a relaxation and time to fully 'let go' and unwind.
